3rd Grade Lesson

What’s up fools? I haven’t posted anything in a long time so I thought I would come back with a bang and talk about my pet peeve. My main pet peeve is how people misuse “you’re” and “your”. It’s not hard to understand how to use “you’re” and “your”, yet so many people fail to use the words correctly. Read my tips, understand them and you won’t fall into the category of ignorant idiots who cannot use “you’re” and “your” properly.

1. You’re - IT’S A CONJUNCTION PEOPLE!! If you can remember that “you’re” is a conjunction then you should have no problem using it correctly. “You’re” is used to replace “you are”, that’s it.

Correct: You’re an idiot. (REMEMBER: “you’re” means “you are”)

Incorrect: Your an idiot.

2. Your - “Your” is a bit more complicated but if a 3rd grader can understand it then anyone can understand it. “Your” shows possession, it is the possessive form of “you”, it refers to something a person has, something that belongs to the person in question, or the person you are talking to.

Correct: Your intelligence disgusts me. (The person owns their intelligence, therefore we use “your”).

Incorrect: Your intelligent.

If this went over your head, then please unfollow me or never visit my page again. If you honestly cannot remember how to use “you’re” and “your” then always say “you are” when writing a form of “you’re/your”, if “you are” sounds weird then use “your”. Please stop the “you’re/your” epidemic.

The Gay Rights Movement

Let’s talk about gay rights. Let’s argue why gay people should be allowed to get married or not. Let’s talks about anal sex. Let’s talk about children growing up with gay parents. Let’s talk about equal rights.

In 1920 the 19th Amendment was created and women received the right to vote. In 1964 the Civil Rights Act passed. In 2008 Proposition 8 was passed in California, then it was overturned. All marriages made between June 2008 and November 2008 are legal but no new legal gay marriages can be performed in California. The United States has 6 states and one district where homosexuals can legally get married. The United States also has 50 states where straight people can get married. We live in America, the land of the free and home of the brave! The brave are the homosexuals who are brave enough to come forward and exclaim that they’re gay. The free are those who aren’t gay. The free are the people who are ruining marriage; the people who give marriage a bad name. Why should everyone but the gays be allowed to get married?

Throughout the years everyone has fought for equal rights, everyone but white males. Unfortunately we live in a nation where white males are still the leaders, sure we might have a black president but the Supreme Court and the branches of government are mainly white males. Feminists have fought for what they believe in, African Americans have fought and now it’s the homosexual’s turn to fight for what they believe in.

We’re at a defining moment in the history of America. Homosexuals cannot get married, ultimately making the United States a hypocritical country that isn’t completely free to everyone. Why should America claim that they’re the land of the free if we are not?

So here we go, why should gay American’s be allowed to get married? As I sit here, thinking about an answer I can’t come up with a clear defining answer that will suit everyone’s beliefs. I can’t say something that will persuade everyone, but I can say what I believe. Every person is a person, and equal person. We’re all made out of the same matter. We’re all the same and no one person is better than the other. Equality is our biggest fight and it’s always going to be a struggle. We gave women equal right and we gave African Americans equal right so where’s the equality when it comes to gay people. If they can’t be free to get married and be who they want then why should we? Why am I allowed to get married but a gay couple can’t? Statistics say that I have a 45-50% chance of getting divorced so why trust me to get married? Why trust anyone? If saying that allowing gay people to get married would ruin marriage then shouldn’t we claim that those who are already getting married are ruining marriage? I mean come on! 45-50% of people getting married for their first time will get divorced! Isn’t that a disgrace to marriage? We can’t claim that homosexuals ruined marriage because they’re not allowed to get married so we can only blame straight couples for such high divorce rates. We can’t argue that homosexuality would ruin marriage because we have already done so as straight Americans.

Many claim that gay people are scum that just want to have sex. Isn’t everyone in the world scum that just wants to have sex?! Admit it, we all just want to fuck. It’s what we do. We can’t say that homosexuals are homosexuals because they just wanna fuck because we all just want to fuck! Get over it, it’s human nature. And we want to criticize gay men for having anal sex? Why? Why should we criticize gay men for having anal sex? Many straight people take part in anal sex so get over it, it’s not just a gay thing. And stop criticizing gay men for having sex, because it’s disgusting that many find woman on woman sex “hot” but want to beat the hell out of guys who take part in male on male. You’re being hypocritical so either be okay with both woman on women and man on man, or hate on both.

And why should we try and stop homosexuals from parenting a child together? I know plenty of male/female parents that have done a terrible job at raising children but they’re still allowed to pop out tons of children without criticism and backlash. Let’s allow the same for homosexuals, they deserve the right to be parents too. As Americans we need to become more concerned people and care about how we treat others. Treat others as you’d want to be treated, right? Would you want to be told you can’t get married? Would you want to be tormented for your sexual orientation? Would you want to be criticized by who your life partner is? Or how you decide to take care of your child? Would you want to be told you’re ruining your child because of your sexual orientation? No, no one wants to be hated because of their sexual orientation. We cannot blame them for who they are, we can only embrace them. In the end there’s nothing more I can say to change how you feel about the gay rights movement. You all have your thoughts and ideas but let me ask you, how does it hurt you when homosexuals are treated equally by the law and society? Because in the end we all just want love and who we love is our own choice.

Religion

Now, I posted a video a few days ago called “Why I Hate Religion, but Love Jesus”. Before posting the video I watched it 5 times, just so I could understand every bit of it. I posted it because I don’t go to church, I don’t believe in organized religion. Due to my experiences I’ve had with organized religion I believe that it can turn “cult-like” very quickly and that most church goers aren’t the people who they portray in church.

Anyways after I posted this video I noticed that many of my Facebook friends were posting it. I also noticed that the people who posted it were the ones that go to church and support “religion”. They’re the kids who go to church, yet they’re the ones who are also out drinking and partying every night but when Sunday comes they put on their “Sunday’s bests” and head into church so that they can repent and do it all again next week. Not every one of those people who posted it are partiers, some of them make fun of people, talk shit on people, do wrong, hell some of them are the biggest sluts in the world but by Christianity as long as we repent then we’re getting into heaven. Which is something I won’t comment on right now, just to save myself from the hassle of people disagreeing with me and telling me I’m wrong.

Back to the main topic, the video is called “Why I Hate Religion, but Love Jesus”. Many people have complaints that loving Jesus means you’re practicing a religion and that the man in the video is a hypocrite. The way I see it is, Christianity isn’t as complicated as they make it seem. You don’t need to go to a church to prove you’re a Christian, because we all know most of the people there aren’t always there for the right reason - like the preacher’s son who go a bj in the church his dad preaches at. Any who, Christianity (in my belief) is a relationship not a religion. And that’s what I think the guy in the video meant. It’s about you and Jesus and that’s it.

As a West Virginia native and a lover of electronic, dubstep, drumstep, dance, techo and all other forms of synthesized music this song really does it for me. Hate on it all you want, say it’s a disgrace to “Country Roads”, it’s your prerogative. There’s just something about hearing “To the place I belong, West Virginia!” and then a smooth rhythm of bass.
